Author’s Ponente: contemporary art in Pegli
Our journey through the Genoese weekend finally takes us towards the Ponente, in the elegant neighborhood of Pegli. Here, starting Friday, July 3, the Galata Museum of the Sea at the Darsena inaugurates the VII edition of the international Biennial The Latitudes of Art 2026, promoted by Mu.Ma, Museums Institution of the Sea and Migrations of the Municipality of Genoa, running until September 6, 2026. This year the exhibition is dedicated to the cultural axis between Italy and France, exploring the theme “Arts, Nomadisms, Languages.”
Twenty contemporary artists – ten Italian and ten French – dialogue through their works in rooms that tell the glorious maritime history of the Republic of Genoa.
