Tribute to Emilio Scanavino

Satura Palazzo Stella dedicates an exhibition to the master Genoese painter Emilio Scanavino, a key figure in European Informalism and an undisputed protagonist of Italian abstract art in the post-war period. The curation by Mario Napoli presents a selection of works that traces Scanavino's pictorial vision, where expressive gesture, knots and labyrinths become the distinctive mark of a profound exploration of the human condition and relationships between individuals. An abstraction that does not represent, but suggests, inviting the viewer to construct their own interpretation through intense color contrasts and a fascinating interpretive freedom. Forty years after the artist's death, this exhibition is an unmissable opportunity to discover one of the most original voices of modern Italian art.
