Silvio Orlando embodies the protagonist Ciampa in this masterpiece by Luigi Pirandello from 1917, in a production directed by Andrea Baracco that transforms the text with extraordinary intensity. Between a straw hat and a white glass window, the exploited Sicilian Ciampa reveals all the humility and human drama of twentieth-century Central Europe, oscillating between comic irony and existential anguish.
