RIFF 2026: The Independent Film Festival in Sestri Levante

The tenth edition of the Riviera International Film Festival returns, the event that celebrates independent cinema and courageous stories that push boundaries. From May 5 to 10, 2026, Sestri Levante will host filmmakers from around the world with the motto "No Risk, No Stories". The festival highlights the works of directors under 35 through three compelling competitions, featuring the participation of major names in international cinema such as Matthew Modine and Stephen Frears, alongside celebrated Italian actors. Ten films and numerous documentaries from 14 countries will be screened at the Cinema Ariston, most of them Italian premieres, touching on themes of social and environmental impact.
