Cosimo Versace, an environmental engineer, presents his debut novel inspired by the stories of a young Gambian man. The story follows Madì, a seventeen-year-old with the extraordinary gift of "sensing" crocodiles, on an epic ten-thousand-kilometer journey across the Sahel, the Sahara and the Mediterranean. A coming-of-age novel that offers a new perspective on contemporary migration, weaving together survival, friendship and hope. The author discusses his work with RAI journalist Enzo Melillo, with readings by Margherita Toniolo. Free admission.
