Persepolis

On Thursday 3 September 2026, in the charming cloister of the Maddalena, the summer series "Pace? Pace!" resumes with the screening of Persepolis, the animated masterpiece by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud. Based on the celebrated autobiographical graphic novel, the film tells the story of Marji's childhood and adolescence during the Iranian Islamic Revolution, her European exile and difficult return, a moving hymn to personal resistance and the courage to never stop fighting for freedom. With its powerful and poetic black and white imagery, Persepolis addresses the theme "Action and Commitment", enriched by the presence of the Iranian Community of Genoa, which brings an authentic testimony of exile and identity.
