A masterpiece of Italian literature brought to the stage with extraordinary modernity by director Davide Livermore. Ludovico Ariosto's stanzas are amplified by a musical repertoire from the Fifteenth and Sixteenth centuries performed live by the Renaissance Ensemble Chimera, creating a spectacle that blends chivalric and Baroque elements in a metamorphic world. With a cast of prominent women and actresses, the production captures the essence of the poem: female supremacy, violence and love, chivalric exploits in a strikingly contemporary vision.
