Valerio Binasco, artistic director of the Teatro Stabile di Torino, returns to engage with Carlo Goldoni by staging one of his masterpieces: a comedy that contains an important autobiographical aspect, written when Goldoni was about to leave for Paris in 1762. Through the story of Anzoleto who must emigrate and leave everything he loves, Binasco reveals Goldoni as a keen observer of the human soul, capable of combining comedy with the fragility and contradictions of everyday life.
