Emigrants

A masterpiece of Polish drama by Sławomir Mrożek, staged by Leo Muscato at Teatro Gustavo Modena. Two Italians who emigrated to Switzerland, trapped in a claustrophobic basement on New Year's Eve 1973, engage in a tense and surreal dialogue. Among misunderstandings, suspicions and paradoxical situations, nostalgia for their homeland and the despair of those forced to live in exile emerge, building to a crescendo of black humor and profound humanity.
