Embodied Witnesses. The Human as Choice

Palazzo Stella hosts the most comprehensive anthology of Jervé, an Italian artist who has been exploring the human face and figure for forty years as philosophical and anthropological instruments. Over sixty works including portraits, allegories, still lifes and vanitas pieces, brought together for the first time in a single venue. The exhibition reflects on the profound awareness of painting practice in the era of generative artificial intelligence: every gesture of the painter becomes a deliberate act and significantly human, laden with biological fragility and mortality. An experience that invites us to reconsider the value of art as a conscious choice.
