Conspiracy

Congiura is the new project by director Stefano Ricci for the XXII edition of the Festival dell'Eccellenza al Femminile: a powerful reflection on old age not as decline, but as a place of revelation and freedom. Six women around seventy years old, both actresses and non-actresses, occupy the stage without interpreting characters, bringing a shared condition and the concrete presence of those whom society tends to exclude. Through real testimonies, video interviews and physical actions, Congiura restores centrality and visibility to those the world has stopped listening to, transforming theater into a civil assembly where memory becomes resistance and the non-performative body becomes the matter of a disobedient narrative.
