Claudio Ciarlo presents his historical novel Monachus, a work that gives voice to Joachim of Fiore, the visionary abbot who lived through six pontificates and six kingdoms between the 12th and 13th centuries. A fascinating interweaving of action and contemplation, history and destinies, that restores complexity and depth to a crucial figure in European religious and philosophical history. The event will feature the participation of Marco Fratini, historian and librarian of the Valdese Cultural Center Foundation, and Roberto Almagioni, architect and writer.
