Affections and Variations

A refined showcase of Baroque music in the evocative Church of San Luca, presented by the Giovine Orchestra Genovese in collaboration with the Spinola Foundation. From May 15 to June 12, 2026, discover how the great composers of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries – from Monteverdi to Bach, Händel and Tartini – transformed human emotions into musical language through the theory of affects. The first concert is dedicated to "Monteverdi sacred and profane" with the Musicaround Ensemble, a fascinating journey through sacred and secular pages where the word becomes the living material of song.
